Our story

Three Friends Who Grew Up Right Here.

Owners Grant Destin, Mackenzie Destin and Hayden Shaw behind the counterGrant, Mackenzie & Hayden

Grant Destin, Mackenzie Destin and Hayden Shaw all grew up in Destin and cut their teeth in local restaurants. In 2018 they parked a little coffee trailer on the Harbor, next to Dewey Destin’s, and started pouring Mackenzie’s family coffee.

The trailer became East Pass Coffee Co., named for the inlet they all grew up around. The first shop opened in March 2020 and had to close ten days later. The neighborhood kept them going, and that loyalty is the reason the Benning house exists.

Every cup is JumpinGoat Coffee, roasted by Mackenzie’s family in Cleveland, Georgia, just down the road from Helen. It’s the same coffee we poured from the trailer on day one.
